Highland Woods is located in the new far west area of Elgin. The community is located just over three miles west of Randall Road on the north side of Lake Street/Route 20.

From the North: take Randall Road south and exit onto Lake Street/Route 20 (west). Proceed west past Coombs Road to Highland Woods (entrance is on your right).

From the South: take Randall Road north and exit onto Lake Street/Route 20 (west). Head west, past Coombs Road to Highland Woods (entrance is on your right).

From the West: head west on Lake Street/Route 20, past Coombs Road to Highland Woods (entrance is on your right).

From Chicago: take I-90 west and exit at Randall Road, heading south. Turn right onto Lake Street/Route 20 and proceed west past Coombs Road to Highland Woods (entrance is on your right).
